4th of July

Well, we survived our 800 mile round trip from Berkeley to Long Beach with 2 kids! We had a great time catching up with family and friends (we haven't been to So Cal since Thanksgiving 2007). Here are some of the pics from the 4th of July weekend.

Since the weather was nice and hot, Charlotte enjoyed 2 beach days! Here she is running through the sand.

4th of July was at our friends Ken & Kim's house on Terminal Island, right next to the Port of Long Beach. In addition to the bounce house fun (see pic) we saw 2 Coast Guard helicopter fly-bys, a huge container ship leaving for China, and a cruise ship leaving for Mexico. It was a great party!

Charlotte was very excited to see the kiddie pools in the yard, but we forgot her swimsuit. No worries - she immediately took her clothes off so she could go swimming. Yikes!
